How Does It Work?
Dietitian Services, LLC (DS) is a management company for Registered Dietitians. Our goal is to bridge the gap between counseling a client and getting paid for your time.
With over 15 years as a Private Practice, exclusive to RD’s, our Parent company- My Diabetes Dietitian, Inc., contracts with local RD’s to counsel our local referrals. Now with the opportunity to provide telehealth services, we are simply increasing the scope of our services- by offering our management skills to other dietitians.
As a partner of DS, you get and counsel the client, and we make sure the claims are paid. All costs and fees associated with these services are paid by DS as part of our partnership.
We handle YOUR Business! We handle:
- Your credentialing and contracting. You’re a ‘rendering provider’ under our contracts.
- We do your billing
- Your accounting, and accounts receivables.
- Pay/Client reports for your records.
- And provide Monthly, direct deposit, to you on paid claims.
You no longer have to partner with several service providers just to operate — One business to partner with that handles everything you need done to get paid- we’re a team!
You get and counsel the client, we make sure we the claims are paid. All costs and fees associated with having a private practice are paid by DS part of your management service.
Your only responsibility is to counsel your clients. You set your own schedule. You counsel your way. This is PRN/Gig work on your terms.
How does five billable hours sound per month, week, or day? Do the math.
Our contractors average $45-60 per billable hour. Fee schedules differ per contract as do amounts paid, sometimes annually. Currently Aetna (some) plans pay the least and BCBS (some) plans pay the most.
RD Opportunities For Clients:
Your Local Doctor: Your local doctor may need a PRN RD that takes insurance. It doesn’t cost the doctor anything to refer. It helps their patients. You counsel and help people, maybe even onsite at the doc’s office and you get paid for your time because you accept insurance through Dietitian Services.
Health Fairs and Corporate On-site Wellness: Before the virus, MDD averaged 25-30% of our business
were on-site corporate programs.
Your Circle of daily acquaintances: Most people are concerned about their health and would love advice
on eating healthier and they would love to work with you because they know you. How about helping
them with their meal planning, or weight loss, or…well, you know. Most people have health insurance.
Most health insurance plans pay for nutrition counseling. You’re an RD that provides the knowledge
they need. Dietitian Services helps you get paid for your time.
There is no cost to ‘Opt In’ with one exception. For those RD’s that want to see Medicare clients there is a one time fee of $250.
Information Required:
- Identification: Driver’s license.
- Pdf of your RD State license.
- Malpractice insurance policy- RD’s responsibility.
- NPI number. If you don’t have one, we’ll help with that.
- Current CAQH account. If you don’t know what that is, we’ll handle that too. No problem, no cost.
- We’ll call or email you with miscellaneous needs as they come up.
The bottom line: There is no cost to Opt-in (one optional exception-Medicare). There are no monthly fees (actually, there’…) to the RD. Dietitian Services and the RD get paid when the claim is paid. If you don’t get paid, we don’t get paid.
